(Updated March 2024)
The Al Abbas Qur’an Academy is sub-committee of the Al Abbas Islamic Centre. Alhumdulillah we are blessed to be able to provide Qur’an teaching for students from the ages of 5 and upwards. The AQA team are dedicated to ensuring that all students receive Qur’an tutoring of the highest possible calibre, and we do this by being very selective when recruiting teachers. All teachers are trained by the esteemed Sheikh Ayman Yacoub and are assessed of their abilities before they are assigned classes to teach at the AQA. All teachers are paid by the AQA and the fees paid by students pays for these expenses. The AQA relies on the student fees AND donations to be able to function and meet our expenses. It is imperative that all students are always up-to-date with their fees.
If any parent wishes to discuss fee payments, in confidence, please contact Sister Faiza Mawji or Sister Fatima Master.
Parents are asked to take note of the following information:
- For the academic year 2024, all fee payments will be made in advance.
- All parents will, where possible, receive notice of minimum 2 weeks notice for the fees due for the following term
- If a student has unpaid fees on the first day of term, they will not be admitted to class by the teacher.
- Refunds will be issued after the end of that term, for any missed classes (only in the case of teacher absence).
- If any students fees have not been paid the day after the deadline, the parent will be issued with a £5 penalty PER child’s fees that are unpaid.
- Parents will be issued with the instructions of how and when to pay the next terms fees (always via A-QALMS student accounts) through the AQA Parents WhatsApp group. It is VITAL that the parent that is paying the fees is on the AQA Parent WhatsApp group. We will no longer accept the excuse that the spouse has not paid, penalties will be given irrespective of the excuse, unless the parent has contacted us in advance about fee payments.
